LNER Route: Leicester to Marylebone

Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 No 45626 'Seychelles' is seen on an up Class A express service to Marylebone. The Jubilee Class locomotive is seen passing Bracket signal No 9 and Starting signal No 4 with the 'D' sign on the post are just in front of the water tank. The southern end of the up passenger loop continued on to the sand drag used to stop vehicles that might runaway. Built by Crewe works to Lot 187 in November 1934, No 45626 was to remain in service until October 1965 when it was withdrawn from 55A Holbeck shed to be scrapped by TW Ward Ltd of Killamarsh.
