LNER 4-6-0 Class B17/4 No 2861 'Sheffield Wednesday' coasts past without a breath of steam circa 1946. The 'footballer' is at the head of a down stopping train its next call being Rugby Central. Built at Darlington in June 1936 it was renumbered in 1946 as No 1661 and again after 1948 as No 61661 which it retained until it was withdrawn from service in July 1959 from 31A Cambridge shed.
