Ex-ROD 2-8-0 Class O4/3 No 3862 is seen at the head of a long freight service in June 1948. Built as ROD 2068 by the North British Locomotive Company in August 1919 it was renumbered on purchase by the LNER as No 6532 and again in 1946 as No 3862. Finally renumbered as No 63862 by British Railways after nationalisation in 1948 it remained in service until November 1962 when it was withdrawn from 9G Gorton shed.
