Avon Bridge Power Station: misc_abps192

Ordnance Survey Map dated 1953, showing the extensions to the Power Station. The exchange sidings and line from this to the discharge area at the Power Station have remained virtually unchanged, but those in the discharge area were modified when the rotary tipper was installed. An overhead conveyer can be seen straddling the coal stack and a narrow gauge line parallel to the standard gauge line in the discharge area can be seen. New lines have been installed to the other side of the power station. These are probably to facilitate the removal of ash from the boilers.
