Avonside 0-6-0ST Works No 2048 'Joan' is seen standing between duties in Arley Colliery's yard on 5th March 1967. Built in 1932, 'Joan' appears to have been overhauled recently judged by her newly painted livery which might be connected to being transferred to Newdigate Colliery within a few weeks of this photograph.
