Another of Coventry Gas Works' 0-4-0ST Bagnall locomotive stands in steam alongside one of the workshops. The 0-4-0 design was much favoured at industrial sites as it allowed the locomotive to traverse very sharp radial curves with trains made up of wagons with 9 foot or 10 foot wheelbases. The depth of buffer beam was typically very deep although this locomotive also appears to be equipped with holes to take buffers for narrow gauge wagons too.
