Ruston & Hornsby Works No 281290 is seen moving full hoppers at APCM Ufton Lime Pits on 5th November 1950. A 3 foot gauge locomotive, No 281290 was built in 1949 and was to be employed at other quarries around the country until preserved by the Irchester Country Park in Northamptonshire.
