Sentinel 0-4-0 Works No 9617 is seen shunting wagons at Nechells Gas Works on 28th February 1959. Built in 1956 at Sentinel's Shrewsbury works, the locomotive was one of their small, high pressure, vertical boilered locomotives. The design was not successful and the locomotive was scrapped just twelve years later in 1968.
