A 1960s photograph of the scissors crossing which dominated the two tracks of the Halesowen Joint Railway between the junction and Longbridge station platform. These tracks were both signalled for running in either direction. On either side were connections to the multiple exchange and private sidings for the North Works on the left and the South Works on the right. In 1929 Austin Motors received approximately 120,000 tons of materials and 45,000 tons of coal and other fuel by rail.
