Newdigate's Peckett No 4 locomotives is seen lifting a rake of empty internal user wagons back to the colliery in the early 1960s. In the foreground are the three sets of sidings which provided the stabling for most of the wagons entering and leaving Newdigate Colliery. A set of two sidings formed a reception siding opposite the signal cabin.
