Foleshill Railway: miscfr006

View of the unidentified 0-4-0ST hauling the 15 inch gun barrel along the Foleshill Railway as it passes alongside the Coventry Canal. Whether the workmen are necessary or posed for camera is unknown. However one school of thought believes that in the absence of a brakevan the men are positioned by the brake wheels ready to apply the brakes. To the left appears to be the chimneys of the Courtaulds factory off the Foleshill Road. C1916
