View of the sandbox fitted to Peckett 0-4-0ST, Works No 2085, with its British Transport Commission registration plate fixed to its side. Registration plates were required by the BTC as a method of tracking all locomotives in the country and ensuring they met the required legislation associated with their operation, the principal one being the boiler examination.
