Home From the Seaside - Philip Hawkins, Fellow of the Guild
Railway Artists.
The painting portrays ex-GWR 4-6-0 No 5063 'Earl Baldwin' at the
head of the northbound Cornishman approaching Danzey for Tanworth circa 1960.
Initially built by Swindon works to be named as No 5063 Thornbury Castle to Lot
303 in June 1937, No 5063 was, within a week, renamed 'Earl Baldwin' which it
carried until February 1965 until it was withdrawn from 2B Oxley shed in
Wolverhampton to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge. For further
