A 1939 track plan showing the layout to the shed, coaling, watering and disposal facilities. As can be seen the centre road through the shed continued outside beyond the table centred in the middle of the shed. The offices and stores were found on the side of the shed overlooking the Birmingham and West Suburban Railway line.
