LMS 4-6-0 7P Royal Scot class No 6144 'Honourable Artillery Company' is seen on an up express to Euston passing under the station circa 1937. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in November 1927 No 6144 remained in service until January 1964 when it was withdrawn from Crewe North shed to be scrapped during January 1964 at Crewe works.
