View of Bulkington station's main building which provided accommodation for the stationmaster as well as providing the passenger facilities. On the left is the Gentlemen's urinals and behind a door to what is thought to be the waiting room. The absence of a ladies waiting room was addressed later by the erection of a timber hut on the down platform approximately where Stationmaster Turner is standing (see image 'lnwr_bulk3948'). On the right is the Saxby & Farmer Type 2 signal box erected in 1873 which remained in use until 1936 when it was replaced by a signal box sited on the up side of the tracks and a little to the South. Bulkington was never a busy station being located in the rural countryside to the north of Rugby and consequently closed not long after World War One.
