LMS 4-6-2 Streamlined Princess Coronation class No 6222 'Queen Mary' is seen at the head of the down 'Coronation Scot' express service in 1938. Built at Crewe works in June 1937 No 6222 was stripped of its streamlining post-war and remained in service until October 1963 when it was withdrawn from Polmadie shed in Glasgow to be scrapped in November 1963 by Crewe works.
