Ex-LNWR 5XP 4-6-0 Claughton class No 5985, another unnamed locomotive, is seen approaching Gypsy Lane bridge at the head of an up excursion train circa 1927. Built as LNWR No 808 at Crewe works in April 1920 it received the LMS No 5985 in May 1927 and remained in service until July 1932 when it was rebuilt as Patriot class locomotive No 5503.
