LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

Trent Valley Lineside - Gypsy Lane: lnwr_gyp1150

Ex-LNWR 5XP 4-6-0 Claughton class No 5983, one of the class never to carry a name, is seen passing under Gypsy Lane road bridge on an up excursion. Built as LNWR No 201 at Crewe works in April 1920 it was renumbered by the LMS in June 1926 and remained in service until September 1932 when it was rebuilt as a Patriot class locomotive No 5514.
