Ex-LMS 4-6-2 Princess Coronation class No 46223 'Princess Alice' approaches Gypsy Lane bridge on an up express circa 1950s. Built at Crewe works in June 1937 in streamlined form No 46223 lost her streamlining after the war and remained in service until October 1963 when she was withdrawn from Polmadie shed in Glasgow to be scrapped in October 1963 by Crewe works.
