LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

LMS 5MT 4-6-0 'Black 5' No 5257 is seen on the up fast line picking up water whilst at the head of an up express circa 1938. Built by the Armstrong Whitworth Company in October 1936 No 5257 remained in service for twenty-nine years being withdrawn in October 1965 from Stoke-on-Trent shed to be scrapped during February 1966 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
