LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5651 'Shovell' is seen passing over Newbold Troughs at the head of a down express in August 1939. Built by Crewe works in January 1935 No 5651 remained in service until November 1962 when it was withdrawn from Shrewsbury shed to be scrapped in December 1962 by Crewe works.
