LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth
Trent Valley Lineside - Newbold on Avon: lnwr_nupa1185
LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5589 'Gwalior' is seen
picking up water at Newbold Troughs whilst on an up Stafford to Rugby express
service in August 1939. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in
December 1934 No 5589 remained in service until March 1965 when she was
withdrawn from Wakefield shed to be scrapped in January 1966 by J Cashmore of
Great Bridge.
