LMS 6P 4-6-0 Royal Scot class No 6129 'The Scottish Horse'
is seen picking up water whilst at the head of a down express service in August
1937. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in November 1927 No 6129
was rebuilt with a 2A tapered boiler as as such remained in service until June
1964 when it was withdrawn from Longsight shed in Manchester to be scrapped in
November 1964 by the Central Wagon Company of Ince near Wigan.
