LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Patriot class No 5516 'The Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment' picks up water as it hurries past on an up Euston express circa 1938. Rebuilt from a LNWR Claughton class locomotive by Crewe works in October 1932, No 5516 received its name in June 1938 and remained in service until September 1961 when it was withdrawn from Dallam shed in Warrington to be scrapped during September 1961 by Crewe works.
