LMS 4-6-0 Royal Scot class No 6157 'The Royal Artilleryman' is seen picking up water whilst at the head of the down Euston to Llandidno express in August 1939. Built at Derby works in July 1930 No 6157 was rebuilt post-war with a 2A tapered boiler and remained in service until January 1964 when it was withdrawn from Kingmoor shed in Carlisle to be scrapped in February 1964 by Crewe works.
