LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

Trent Valley Lineside - Newbold on Avon: lnwr_nupa1199

Ex-LNWR 0-8-0 G1 class No 9263 is seen on the up slow line passing over Newbold Troughs at the head of a goods train circa 1930s. Built at Crewe works in September 1914 No 9263 remained in service until March 1949 when it was withdrawn from Springs Branch shed in Wigan to be scrapped by Crewe works.
