LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

Ex-MR 2F 0-6-0 No 3738 and ex-LNWR 2F 0-6-0 'Cauliflower' No 8450 are seen at the head of a Leamington to Nuneaton local passenger service. The eight coaches were certainly not required by the volume of passengers normally using the line nor would two locomotives be required for this type of service. It is thought that either the working was a special one off local excursion - the head code indicate its a local passenger working and it appears to be summer - or its a local service strengthened with empty stock required to be taken back to Coventry or Nuneaton.
