A late British Railways view of the outside of the station
after electrification showing the station master's house separated by a fence
on 24th Aug 1968. The chimneys to the station had by now been reduced in height
for safety reasons. The decline of the station is evident with the neat white
fencing now replaced on the right by British Railway's concrete posts and wire
utility version.
