LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

An Edwardian view of Polesworth station with members of staff, their families and passengers posing for the camera. There are seven men in view with six members of staff in view including a man with a bowler hat who is probably a passenger. Of the two men wearing flat caps one has what appears to a wearing a uniform and could be a signalman whilst the other could be from the yard. The four uniformed men display their status by their uniforms with a porter on the right and the station master on the left. The station provided family accommodation as well as passenger facilities with the station masters portion being on the left. The doorway in the centre provided access to the booking hall and to the platforms.
