LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

View of the station from the main access road showing the structure was little changed in the 100 years since it was first built circa 1950s. The door under the British Railways station sign (maroon painted background with cream lettering) has the sign booking hall whilst above the poster is a 'telephone' sign painted blue and fixed at right angles to the wall. To the left of the booking hall door is wall mounted lamp holder of the design to hold oil lamps. Close inspection of the photograph indicates that the booking clerk was housed to the left of the door whilst on the right is another office. On the extreme right is the ladies toilets indicating that the ladies only waiting room was to the right of the booking hall door.
