LMS 4-6-0 No 45531 'Sir Frederick Harrison', a rebuilt Patriot class locomotive, is seen heading the Manxman passing through Shilton station circa 1956. Originally built as a LNWR Claughton class locomotive it was rebuilt as a Patriot class engine in April 1933 to be later rebuilt with tapered boiler as seen above in December 1947. On first being rebuilt in 1933 it was unnamed until 1937. Following rebuilding in 1947 it continued in service until October 1965 when it was withdrawn from Carlisle (Kingmoor) and finally scrapped in March 1966 at GH Campbell in Airdrie.
