LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth
Tamworth Station: lnwr_tam1247
LNWR 2P 4-6-0 Experiment class No 1991 'Palmerston' is seen
approaching Tamworth with a local Rugby to Stafford service. Built at Crewe
works in October 1906 No 1991 was renumbered by the LMS in June 1927 although
it only carried the new number for a matter of months being withdrawn in
February 1928 for scrapping at Crewe works.
