LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

Ex-LMS 2-8-0 8F No 48134 is seen passing under the bridge carrying the former MR Derby to Birmingham line on a down Class C fitted freight train, taken at Tamworth on 8th September 1960. Built as LMS No 8134 at Crewe Works to Lot 154 in April 1941 No 48134 remained in service until January 1966 when it was withdrawn from 6C Croes Newydd shed in Wrexham to be scrapped in April 1966 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
