Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 45740 'Munster' is seen at the head of an up express as enters Town Thoms cutting circa 1949. Built at Crewe works in December 1936 No 45740 remained in service until October 1963 when it was withdrawn from Aston shed in Birmingham to be scrapped during December 1963 by Crewe works.
