LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

Trent Valley Lineside - Towns Thoms: lnwr_tt1217

Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 45718 'Dreadnought' is seen at the head of an up express service as it enters Town Thoms cutting circa 1948. Built at Crewe works in August 1936 No 45718 remained in service until October 1962 when it was withdrawn from Agecroft shed in Manchester to be stored at St Rollex shed from July 1963 to be scrapped in December 1963 by Cowlairs works.
