LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

A colourisation by David P Williams of the original black and white photograph showing LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5638 'Zanzibar' is seen heading an up milk and perishables train into Town Thorns cutting on 25th May 1939. Built at Crewe works in December 1934 No 45638 remained in service until March 1964 when it was withdrawn from Dallam shed in Warrington to be scrapped in April 1964 by Crewe works.
