LMS Route: Rugby to Tamworth

Trent Valley Lineside - Towns Thoms: lnwr_tt1219

Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 45631 'Tanganika', still carrying its old LMS livery, enters Town Thoms cutting at the head of an up express circa 1948. Built at Crewe works in November 1934 No 45631 remained in service until August 1964 when it was withdrawn from Crewe North shed to be scrapped in March 1965 by the Central Wagon Company of Ince near Wigan.
