Ex-LNWR 0-8-0 G2 class No 9407, commonly referred to as a 'Super D', is seen working an up freight train north of Rugby circa 1930. Built at Crewe works as LNWR No 373 in January 1921 No 9407 remained in service until December 1964 when it became the last of the class to be withdrawn - from Bescot - to be scrapped in March 1965 by J Cashmore at Great Bridge.
