Looking towards Witton and Bescot with Aston No 2 signal cabin on the left and the line to Lichfield on the right on 15th April 1961. The signals on the left are LMS upper quadrant signals mounted on a lattice steel gantry. The sign showing the number '20' also has an arrow pointing towards the Lichfield line indication that 20 mph is the speed limit for the curve. There are two huts in view. A large one on the right and a much smaller one on the left. These would have been used by the local Permanent Way gang for both housing equipment as well as providing a place for meals and breaks.
