Windsor Street Goods Station: lnwra3664

Looking south-west across Rocky Lane overbridge towards Windsor Street Gas Works with one of the three gas holders on the right. As shown on the map (see image 'lnwra3270'), the bridge marked the entrance to Windsor Street Goods Station, the sidings and shed being on the left beyond the bridge. In the distance, approximately where the crane can be seen, was the bridge crossing Avenue Road which led to Windsor Street Wharf. On the approach to the goods yard were sidings which ran alongside the line approaching the yard, one of which can be seen on the left.
