LMS Route: Nuneaton to Leamington

Looking towards Nuneaton, this view shows the substantial passenger facilities on the down platform circa 1960s. The care shown for the station seems noticeable less than that seen in image 'lnwrb3263' although this might due to it being a winter view. Whilst both postforms structures appear to be of similar size the building on the down platform has one less chimney to that on the up platform. The station was busy enough to warrant a booking office on both platforms and both had both a general waiting room and a ladies waiting too. The booking office on the down platform is the room nearest to the camera. Its equivalent on the up platform was situated in the station building on the right which was also where road transport could arrive via the station approach off Bulkington Road. On the left at the top of the embankment was a pathway from the road to the down platform.
