A canopy has been provided at the entrance to the booking hall for passengers arriving by road vehicle. The chimneys provide a clue as to the number of rooms and the location of the different facilities. On the extreme left is an office probably used by the station master whilst to its right, and to the left of the booking hall, is where the booking clerk and porters would be based. To the right of the booking hall, which would have also served as a general waiting room, are thought to be the ladies only waiting room with en suite ladies toilets. On the extreme right is the gentlemen's toilet as evidenced by the louvres in the roof. Geoffrey Hurst notes in his book 'LNWR Branch Lines of West Leicestershire & East Warwickshire' that the there are only two notice boards with the one nearest the door being a bus timetable.
