Close up of image 'lnwrberk4113' showing the long siding, and to its right, the goods yard and some of its facilities equipment. The Weighing Machine and Office noted on the L&NWR OS Map is just out of site behind the Signal Cabin. The dock and building to the left of the Signal Cabin are most likely used by railway workers. In the distance a mobile crane mounted on a road trailer can be seen. This would have been used for lifting heavy loads and is not thought to have been a permanent resident at Berkswell. Whereas there was little industrial traffic to warrant its use the nearby RAF base at Honiley might have justified its existence, at least on a casual basis.
