Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 45419 is seen passing Signal Cabin No 2 as it arrives at Platform 6 on a down express service from Rugby on 14th May 1949. Built by the Armstrong Whitworth Company in October 1937 No 45419 was to remain in service until September 1966 when it was withdrawn from Chester Midland shed to be scrapped in January 1967 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
