British Railways Standard Class 4 4-6-0 No 76087 is seen standing at the East end of Platform 8 at the head of a local service to Worcester. Whilst it may appear to be a mistake in the records of the photographer a number of services were routed via the Gloucester Junction and Camp Hill and then on to Kings Norton. Built at Horwich works in May 1957 No 76087 was to remain in service until January 1967 when it was withdrawn from Oxley shed in Wolverhampton to be scrapped in September 1967 by J Cashmore of Newport.
