BR Period Locomotives: lnwrbns_br1974
Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5601 'British Guiana' is
still wearing LMS Black lined livery at the head of a train of Carmine and
Cream coaching stock in July 1949. Built by the North British Locomotive
Company in April 1935 No 5601 was to remain in service until September 1964
when it was withdrawn from Newton Heath shed in Manchester to be scrapped in
June 1965 by the Central Wagon Company of Ince near Wigan.
