Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 44766 is ready to depart platform 6 on a down express service on 14th September 1963. Built as LMS No 4766 in December 1947 by Crewe works, No 44766 received its British Railways number in May 1948 which it kept until August 1967 when it was withdrawn from 5B Crewe South shed for scrapping by J Cashmores of Newport.
