Ex-LMS 6P Rebuilt Patriot Class 4-6-0 No 45512 'Bunsen' arrives at platform 3 on an up express on 20th July 1963. Built as LMS No 5512, a parallel boilered locomotive designed by Fowler, at Crewe works in September 1932, No 45512 was rebuilt using Stanier's 2A tapered boiler when the original boiler was life expired. It received its British Railways number in July 1948 which it carried until March 1965 when it was withdrawn from 12A Kingmoor shed in Carlisle.
