BR Period Locomotives: lnwrbns_br3308
Ex-LMS 5XP 4-6-0 No 45722 'Defence' is seen standing at
platform 3 on an up express service to Euston. Built as LMS No 5722 by Crewe
works in August 1936, this Jubilee Class locomotive was to remain in service
until December 1962 when it was withdrawn from 2A Rugby shed to be
scrapped.
